9/14/06 Founder Joe Blattner kicks off 2nd work/study program
with a team of 5 CMU MISM School MBA graduate students to work to
refine the strategic plan for the future of COMPackage. It was exactly
this program and process that white-boarded the original invention
and prototype development of COMPackage with Blattner one year ago
in 2005.
9/12/06 Program Update: The next version provided for several
auto calculation tools for all types of Insurance.
8/4/06 COMPackage Version 1.0.9 was released to include over
10 enhanced auto-calculation tools for:
- Social Security
- Workers Comp (a concept was specifically developed to monetize
individual costs for this expense)
- FUTA/SUTA/Medicare
- All forms of TIME Off
4/6/06 Blattner test markets the COMPackage self-service
offer to 316 of his personal network of privately held businesses
receiving a resounding number of positive response and orders.
2/20/06 Upon the advice of his WPO Forum, a core group of
8 business owners, Blattner decides to forgo national rollout immediately
in order to test every aspect of this new venture, a decision that
while missing his first primary selling window, permitted Blattner
to enhance most each and every aspect of the new reporting system.
2/13/06 COMPackage became an authorized Verisign, American
Express, VISA, and Master Card merchant
1/20/06 COMPackage Corp was incorporated in the state of
PA
1/5/06 Blattner hires an old acquaintance and close friend's
software development firm to build COMPackage, with an intended
1st delivery of a core functional system of February 10, 2006 so
that he may roll out nationally within the immediate primary selling
season thought to be the 1st quarter of each calendar year.
10/10/05 compackage.com, .biz, .net, & .info are all originally
registered by Blattner
9/12/05 Founder Joe Blattner initiates a work/study program
with a team of 5 CMU MISM School MBA graduate students to define
and create COMPackage, from what all it should do, to what it should
look like, to what platform it should run on, including a significant
focus group study providing for 8 business owners, 8 bookkeepers,
and 8 employees direct input to the future design and usability
of the new business proposition. The outcome of this initiative
is a fully working prototype of COMPackage built by this CMU team
for their graduation in mid-December, 2005.
4/1/05 Joe Blattner completes a client information audit
for Liberty Insurance Agency as their marketing consultant and because
of the discussion at that meeting comes to invent a specific vision
of a self serve total compensation reporting system having few-to-no
employees, little fixed overhead, and zero accounts receivables.
The primary purpose of this idea was to assist insurance and benefits
consultants to serve present and future small business clients better.
